Introducing folk entertainment that has been handed down in Akita City, such as the Kanto Festival and the Tsuchizaki Port Hikiyama Festival, with materials and videos. There will be a demonstration by the Kantokai on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (13: 30-14: 10) from April to October. To the left is the old Kaneko family residence, which retains the architectural style of the late Edo period.

じゃらん「行ってみたい夕日絶景ランキング」国内第2位(2018年)にも選ばれたゴジラ岩は、男鹿の南西端、門前地区の潮瀬崎(しおせざき)と呼ばれる磯場にあります。

日本海の海際という絶好のロケーションに立つ水族館。ホッキョクグマをはじめ、ペンギン、アザラシなど400種1万点の生きものを展示。

  • 館内では大型スクリーンでの映画「ナマハゲの一夜」※15分間　やナマハゲが伝承されている自然や風土、伝説等を音声案内・グラフィックパネルなどでを詳しく紹介しています。男鹿産出の寒風石による石積み造の外壁と、秋田杉をふんだんに利用した内装が雰囲気を感じさせます。
• 男鹿真山伝承館
  • 男鹿地方の典型であった曲家民家を再現した伝承館では、ナマハゲにまつわる風俗、農具類など民俗資料の展示もあり昔の暮らしを目で感じられます。また、大晦日のなまはげ行事の再現も行われ、囲炉裏にあたりながら、家中を暴れまわるなまはげを間近に見ることができ、その迫力を感じられます。

A gallery renovated from a brick warehouse that has been used as a sake storage for Kodamasukemasu since the Taisho era. Held exhibitions of invited artists, lectures and concerts by artists. Beautiful photos match the atmosphere of a classical warehouse with the scent of Akita cedar.
